The rapidly increasing digitalization of both the work place and the society at large, makes information technology matters very important. For both suppliers of IT (irrespective if supplied as cloud services, outsourcing or in other ways) and their customers, it is necessary to carefully regulate what the services should include (e.g. implementation, training, maintenance, support) how the services should be provided and how they could be discontinued, possibly by being transferred to another supplier.
The digitalization also entails a very large and continuous growth of information, also as regards personal data. Processing of personal data is regulated in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which applies within EU and to some extent also outside of EU. GDPR strengthens the protection of personal data and contains heavily penalties for breaching the rules.
Life science is a regulated business area where it is often common with co-operations between different actors, e.g. universities, hospitals and companies. The co-operation is regulated in e.g. research and development agreements, license agreements, distribution agreements and manufacturing agreements.
Co-operations between universities and companies are also common within other high-tech areas and also here the co-operation is regulated in various agreements
We advise both suppliers and customers in all matters regarding IT and data protection. Vi also advise suppliers and customers within life-science and other technology areas.
